Volunteers unloading pumpkins to be carved and painted
There’s many opportunities to help out at the Pumpkin Walk! We’d love to have your participation in this wonderful community event!
Create A Scene
It’s easy and a lot of fun! Every September we have a scene-makers meeting to help you learn how make your scene — painting tips, body-making tips and the like. We also have a library of backdrops available to use. Set up days are the Tuesday and Wednesday before Pumpkin Walk. For more information please contact:

Each year we carve hundreds of pumpkins to light the path through the scenes. Many different groups have made carving for the Pumpkin Walk a Fall tradition. These groups range from small to large, and from church to civic. We would love to have you or your group join us in this fun Fall activity.
You can participate in two different ways:
- Join in the fun at our city facilities with many other groups and carve away; or
- Come gather the pumpkins you need and take them to your location to carve at your convenience. We need them back at the Pumpkin Walk by the Wednesday evening before the Pumpkin Walk begins.
If you are interested in helping us carve pumpkins, please contact:
Calling all handy men or women! The scenes that we enjoy each year take a lot of creativity, ingenuity, and just plain grit. We could always use additional help in setting up these scenes.
If you are good with a hammer, any other tool, or would just like to help without creating your own scene, please call:
